Australian Quaker Centre (AQC)
Donations
The Centre is self-funding. The program and fees are designed to cover all operational costs and be viable in the long-term. For example, Core staff and teachers are employed on contract and offered a fee for their service. Some staff may be employed by Australia Yearly Meeting, receive employee benefits and be paid a wage that releases Friends for this service. Full board and accommodation will be provided free for all core staff and teachers and they are expected to participate fully in the residential spirit-led community.
- We are grateful for the support of the Canberra, Queensland and Victoria RMs which provided a total of $3,750 to support the first meeting of the Working Group and assist with initial search and advertising costs.
- We have received untied personal donations amounting to $15000 towards establishing the AQC.
- Donations or loans to the Centre are most welcome.
Donations towards the establishment of a permanent Centre, purchase of
property and the creation of the library and other resources or equipment,
